What's possible?

Wishbone Day started with the question "What's possible?"

Since then Wishbone Day has surged its way across the world raising awareness about Osteogenesis Imperfecta.

Wishbone Day is making a difference through each and every one of you who embrace the fun and joy of Wishbone Day!  We've seen improved networks and supports, better access to schools and other community agencies, greater understanding from communities and an overwhelming burst of enthusiasm towards action and hope for the future.

We love hearing your stories about how Wishbone Day has made a difference to your life, the amazing people you've met and the fun you've had on Wishbone Day. :-)

So what's possible for Wishbone Day in 2012?

What's possible for you in 2012?

What's possible for people with OI? What can we do in the world?

Just 3 days to go!

Wishbone Day is almost here!  I'm excited!

It's brilliant to see so many great celebrations being planned around the world.  We know that in 2011 Wishbone Day will be celebrated across Australia, Oceania, North and South America, Asia and Europe.

This year we have welcomed many new friends from around the world and look forward to this growing trend as Wishbone Day reaches more people to raise awareness.

If you are not represented on our Wishbone Day map (below) please drop us an email to let us know that you will be celebrating Wishbone Day where you live. We want to acknowledge everyone celebrating Wishbone Day in the world!!
Wishbone Day celebrations have been busy in the planning phases.  Ribbons, t-shirts, posters, jewellery, trinkets and other yellow decorations have filled living rooms, offices and school class rooms across the world in preparation for celebrations this week.  We know there's going to be Wishbone Day classroom and office activities, picnics, parties, morning and afternoon teas.

If you're still looking for some creative inspiration for your own Wishbone Day celebrations take a look at the Wishbone Day Bright Ideas shared by our Wishbone Day supporters around the world. If you have something to share drop us a note and let us know. We love reading your comments - so please click on the comments link below and tell us what you're planning.

Our friends in Spain have begun our Wishbone Day celebrations with a pre-Wishbone Day family reunion.   A great day had by all and lots of yellow to raise positive awareness of OI.

Remember we LOVE your photos of your Wishbone Day celebrations - so please share them with us! We want the world to see how Wishbone Day 2011 was celebrated around the world.

The possibilities for yellow are endless!

Our friends over at the Brittle Bone Society in the UK are challenging their government officials and politicians to go yellow with a Wishbone Day pin on 6 May 2011 to show support for Wishbone Day.

We think this is a great idea! So we're putting the challenge out to our Wishbone Day supporters world wide.  Who can you get to go yellow on Wishbone Day?

They wouldn't have to wear a pin; maybe a yellow tie? or shoes? or maybe even yellow socks?  The possibilities for yellow are endless.

Be creative!

If you need help with Wishbone Day awareness items click here for more ideas. Let us know how it goes!

We need your help!

We try really hard to keep everyone up-to-date with Wishbone Day developments and as Wishbone Day grows larger this is becoming more difficult.

We've learned that even though we post regular updates on our website, facebook and on twitter a number of our supporters have missed our updates and Wishbone Day opportunities.

Facebook and Twitter have been a great way to share and network our information but we have learned that they are not always the most reliable. For those of you with many friends in your network it is really easy to miss our posts.  For some people, our posts could even be filtered out of your news feed if you don't interact with us often.

SO WISHBONE DAY NEEDS YOUR HELP!

We need your help to share, like, repost and link us often!  Tell others about opportunities to be involved or about new Wishbone Day developments and information.  We need you to do this so no-one misses out!

Subscribe to our website! and encourage others to do the same.

Tag Wishbone Day as a favourite on your Facebook or twitter so you can easily find us.

We don't want anyone to miss the opportunity to experience Wishbone Day!  Please help us to stay connected.

Do you have other suggestions on how we can keep our supporters up-to-date? Contribute your ideas through the comments link below - we love reading your ideas and comments!
